The Watermelon Cottage is sitting on the waters edge on 1.5 acres. The lot is covered with heritage oaks and magnolias. Secluded, yet a short walk or boat ride to a cute little pub with amazing food, two marinas with groceries and gas, and that old Florida feel. There are also a few other restaurants withing a few miles. The bright lights and State Capital are a mere 25 minutes away.

A great place to stay anytime of the year. Beautiful sunsets, abundant wildlife, and miles of exploration; you could even take the river at the head of the lake to Tallahassee.

The cottage has easy access from I-10. It is in a neat little neighborhood. It has a great view and sleeps 12 comfortably. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, a great room with DISH/TV and fireplace, a family room with TV.

Amenities include:

Central heat and air, well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, gas grill, screened porch, lots of deck area, sitting on the water, even a boat ramp in the back yard. You can park up to 3 boats on our dock. Truck and trailer parking on property behind an operable gate. Great for families , fishermen, or hunters.

*2 bedrooms have queen beds  1 bedroom has 2 twin beds

*Great room has 2 day beds and queen sleeper sofa *  Family room has double futon

All linens are provided but please bring your own life jackets and beach towels.

Day trip to Tallahassee may include the Challenger Learning Center, Florida State Capital, Tallahassee Junior Museum, 2 Malls, 5 golf courses, movies and restaurants.

Vacation rates for 6-1-208 to 12-31-2008

Monthly   $3,200.00

Weekly    $1,350.00 Check in Sat 2:00 p.m.  Check out Sat. 10:00 a.m.

 Friday and Saturday   $275.00 per night

Sunday thru Thursday  $150.00 per night

**Two night minimum   

Check in 3:00 p.m.  Check out 11:00 a.m.

Weekends: Early check in Friday a.m. if empty. Check out Sunday 4:00 if empty Monday

Security deposit required for extended stays. Deposit will be refund immediately after departure.

Paypal accepted for credit card charges.

All rentals have a 9.0% sales tax per stay.

Put a hunting or fishing package together for a group and book early for the season. Divide up the cost for a month with your group and make the most of this years time spent it the woods or on the water.
